Communicating God’s Way – Part II

In this message beginning the marriage communication series, Pastor Byron teaches from Philippians 2 and other passages about how couples should communicate “God’s way” by following Christ’s example. He outlines that godly communication must be truthful (no hidden agendas), purposeful (glorifying God by loving sacrificially and considering the interests of the other above our own), gracious (accepting our spouse even when they fail), and most importantly involves listening—noting that 80% of communication is listening, and that the epitome of bad communication is false assumption, which happens when we fail to truly hear our spouse’s heart.
