Speak Graciously but Boldly

You have heard me often speak of how some in the Christian church at large have attempted to make Christianity palatable to the unbeliever. Oswald Chambers in his daily devotion, “His Utmost For His Highest”, captures in the following quote what is at the heart of many who want to water down the gospel and God’s truth.

The danger we have is that we want to water down what Jesus said to make it mean something that aligns with our common sense. But if it were only common sense, what He said would not even be worthwhile.

God’s call on each of us to share the gospel and speak graciously, but boldly takes courage and confidence in the Risen Savior.
